Re: New Ranger Update 2.0 biturbo option....
It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. I tested the 180bhp 2.0 bitdi Amarok before ordering our current Wildtrak. It was horrible, very wheezy, no low down torque and it drove more like a petrol. Towing with it would have been very tedious. It seems VW listened to their customers, as they a...

Welcome to this great Forum Tim. We're still waiting on that pic of your new Ranger - whole of vehicle, in focus, from the sunny side please and with something interesting background (but no other vehicles). That should at least get you a 6/10! ;) Sunny side? The chap is in Scotland, you might have...

Yeah, still silly waiting times. Ordered it march was told initially 3-4 months. Then was given a build date for end of oct in Aug. At that point I asked if they could get any other ones sooner with same spec and so ended up with black, oh and it's euro6, although I don't know if that's a good thin...

Already been discussed somewhere on here. All Rangers here in the UK have been Euro 5 for a while( mine is a MY 2015) and needs no adblue. I believe adblue is mostly used on Euro6.

I think the UK must be a bit of a dumping ground for the excess right hand drive old models. That concerns me about the stated delivery time though. The local dealer reckons he's got dealer-ordered models coming in during Christmas week and offered me one of those but he's specced it with the rolle...

I wish you well. Your order sounds very familiar! We ordered from one of the biggest U.K Ford dealers in Nov 2014. Sea Grey Wildtrak. We were promised(falsely) a March delivery. We finally got it early June. The original salesperson should have been telling us a 9 month delivery, he no longer works f...

You are very patient, personally I do not want to be in possession of my Ranger outside of warranty. Dito every make. :) if that's how you feel. Cheers, Butch. We are in the same mindset here in the UK. We like the truck, but it's built cheaply and down to a price(3.2 Wildtrak manual). We don not w...

Ours is called The Fraud. Just to differentiate it from our other Ford pickup(1956 F100). Plus to reflect the b/s we got from the initial sales monkey.

We've just taken delivery of a 3.2 Wildtrak here in the UK. It's a lovely truck. Couldn't be happier with it. However, we have chosen to lease ours. We have crunched the numbers many times, and factoring in depreciation and post warranty liability, leasing was the right decision for us. We also made ...

We went for the Sea Grey. Drove an auto demo and went manual in the end. Biggest gripe was the bull from the original salesman( now no longer a Ford salesman!) telling us when ordering in Nov for an end of Feb delivery. Vehicle turned up end of June. I hope your supplier has been more upfront!

The UK models have what's called a coated DPF. Basically it's a unit that does the job of a DPF and a catalyst in one. It's right up almost next to the turbo. However, on another thread I asked if the Aus market had DPFs fitted to the Ranger, and was told not. So who knows!

We're only leasing. I have no intention of owning another modern vehicle to be honest. The post warranty liability is massive. Funnily enough, a road trip to Scotland will we one of our first missions in it!

Hi Scottish, nice truck. I'm down at the other end of the island. I'm waiting for a 3.2 Wildtrak manual to arrive. How long did you have to wait from order to delivery just out of interest?
