Highrider wrote: Mon Mar 15, 2021 4:37 pm How does it compare to the 2.2 (was it a 4x4 as well or a Highrider?)
The old 2.2 was a 4x4 and this new one is a completely different rig. I didn't think there would be too much difference, but I am happy to admit I was wrong haha

Re: Finally upgraged to a new ranger!

Nice rig. When you take photos can you do one of the dash, please? I hear that the newer models have a different layout. And have a look at what the centre display shows. Thanks. I will see if I can get some photos tomorrow afternoon for you. This one is an XLS but has the premium pack, so has sat ...

Re: 2.2 Ranger for something a bit different!

Well I thought I better update this little thread. Haven't done too much until today. So I did the platform which is fairly basic but it does the job it was intended for. Planning on doing a trip around the country in a couple of years so I will remake it with some drawers on one side. 18622675_1860...

Thought I better post some updates on the ranger since it has been a while. Went camping the other week and got this neat photo, I am trying out this 6ft aerial not hooked up yet to see if it annoys me, but it does look the part so I have taken it off until I my new barwork from TJM in a couple of m...

From old to new!

Well everyone had to start somewhere with there fourbies. So I thought we could share what our first 4x4 was. Mine was a 1994 td42 turbo GQ Patrol. 3" Suspension 2" Body lift, 35s and was just a beast off-road. Wish I could afford another one just for a toy. 10885383_1428032084186425_885592422383338...

Well I thought I better put some photos up of how it is sitting at the moment. The old extended shackles and front spacers are out, and the new 3" Lift done by performance suspension is in :) Much more comfortable than before with the new Bilstein shocks. Re: Finally bought a Ranger!!!

Yeah they are great there. They have been keeping an eye out for a used ranger for about a year and finally a good one came in. The shackles will be coming off as soon as the new suspension goes in on the 8th. Also taking the spacer out of the front. They fella who owned it cheaped out on everything...

2.2 Ranger for something a bit different!

Well I have finally found a ranger that I wanted to call mine. My misso works at a ford dealership and somebody traded this little beauty in. It is a 2012 XL 2.2 but I wont be towing anything major so no point in the 3.2. So yeah. Has ebay special extended shackles at the moment and spacers in the f...

Re: Help Choosing Suspension PX Ranger

I am going to go with the new OME BP51 shocks and struts that they are going to bring out for the ranger very shortly. I had a look at them when I was at the 4x4 show last weekend. Very well built and look the goods.
