Re: ira11y's XLT
Hi mate did you get the intake cleaned? Or has the oil self cleaned When I put the catch can in I thoroughly cleaned out the intake using a rag and some turps on the inside of the throttle body, I only cleaned what I could safely reach without loosing something down there, I am not sure if I would ...

Nothing much new, just swapped up to 18"s with some FX4 rims and added the tailgate auto lock. Coming up to 2.5years old and 90K Kms this month, no major issues, lots of cosmetic warranty claims for leather and plastic bits, oh and they had to replace the dump pipe on the exhaust due to the flexi jo...

Re: Light bar or spotties on PX2 Nudge bar
A light bar will achieve better short range vision and side lighting than can be found with most flood spot lights, however a good set of pencil beam spotlights will always out do a light bar for distance, it comes down to what type of driving you are doing and what you want to see. I use pencil bea...

I run the same tank, fill up using the high flow truck nozzle with no issues (nozzle in the correct orientation), I would guess the breather tube is not working properly.

Re: Sell it or keep it??
So I was at Ford yesterday and looking at the FX4 v Wildtrak as an upgrade from my XLT. Guy I spoke with used to run one of the Ford dealerships in Northern Sydney but is now a little bit further south, these were some of his comments yesterday. The FX4 was a slap together fix by Ford to try and fil...

Re: Legal wheels for Rangers
Ok. so after some of the previous comments, I felt I needed to do a bit of digging, that digging led all the way back to discussing this with the vehicle safety standards people in govt. My original thought was what exactly is the vehicle category code, that led me to this website page (for my vehic...

There are two settings, go in to the settings menu on the screen and you can set the brightness offset, if you like it very dim just drop it in to the negative. After that is set you can then toggle it up and down using the dim feature at the main light switch.

Spotted this good looking machine when doing a job at ARB in Prestons, pretty sure its one of the workers cars, possibly the manager. I didn't get time to talk to him to ask, just love the wheels on it, shame they are 20" and so just a little bigger than I want to go with. http://i323.photobucket.co...

Here you go XLR8R The front boxes were off the shelf but the rears I got custom made, the plinths and draws they sit on I made myself. The draws are designed with a step so they slide smoothly around the wheel arches, they sit directly on the tub liner, I just use a little wax on the bottom of the t...

Well just over a year on and +40K kms later and I have to say I still made the right decision going Ranger over the Hilux, love driving this thing, the long highway trips are so easy and it handles the rough stuff to the towers and trigs easily. Re: PX2 headlight bulbs
A couple of things could be happening here, firstly all LED lights emit frequency, some have better suppression than others of the noise in the circuit. The radio interference will most likely be from the LED's. The radio in the ranger is very susceptible to noise based on other peoples issues, that...

Re: Manual Gearbox, Engine Over Rev Between Gears
I am still getting this but not as often as when I first got her new. What I am thinking lately is that its a combination of how I push the clutch in, or rather how far I push the clutch in and the ECU's response to the clutch position. If I push the clutch in say 1/3 of the way, which is enough to ...

I gave up on the ECB and went with a cheapy nudge bar off eBay, I don't have the tech pack though so makes it easier.
