Re: Cracked windscreen - Non available - maybe 2mths wait

The new oem screen turned up on day stated by Ford, repairer picked it up from a dealer then arranged a suitable day to fit. The contractor that did the job for the insurance company could not have been better, took all possible care cutting the old screen out and did not remove one bit of paintwork...

Re: 2016 Build Wildtrak

Finally took delivery of my Wildtrak last friday so in all a 5 month wait. Vehicle is good but the delivery by the dealer was the worst I have ever experienced. If I hadn't waited for the vehicle for 5 months I would have walked out without it.Last time I will ever set foot into that dealership.I ha...

Re: Why did I buy a Ranger MK II 12 months after buying the

A mechanical engineer once told me " If the vehicle hasn't broken down yet it doesn't have enough features " However the cr@p lighting problem can be solved. I do like my PX1 but the PX2 is good as well. Cheers, Butch. The crap lighting should not have to be solved, they should have decent at purch...

Re: Why did I buy a Ranger MK II 12 months after buying the

Good review. Whinging in the right places gives Ford customer feedback to improve. E.g. When Our partners whinge to do something, we do it. Love my Wildtrak, but, there are some good points made, I.e. Electric brake control supplied with the " heavy duty tow pack" plus very poor headlights for Aust...

Re: Cracked windscreen - Non available - maybe 2mths wait

A heads up for anyone thinking of buying a new Ranger. There is a big lack of spare parts and long waiting lists for obtaining parts to fix the new Utes. Been waiting since 22 February for a windscreen, was told two weeks ago it would arrive on 24th March (good Friday) and just now was informed it w...

Re: Cracked windscreen - Non available - maybe 2mths wait

My guess is you use an insurer with the cheapest premium. Quality insurance companies will use the OEM screens, but everyone knows you get what you pay for... Where does the Quality insurance company obtain an OEM screen from when none are available ? I detect a somewhat sarcastic undertone. There ...

Re: Cracked windscreen - Non available - maybe 2mths wait

There was a photograph of latest version rangers of all models stacked 5 to 10 high on top of each other, just dumped when cleaning the factory out. All covered in mud a debris. Photo was posted on Facebook and other forums approx 3 to 4 months ago.

Re: Cracked windscreen - Non available - maybe 2mths wait

I received a rock from a passing truck last week and have been told there are no PX2 (with tech pack) screens in the country. Sounds like BS to me as they are saying could be up to 2 months wait... :-( Greg. True, have ordered one on 22 nd February and none in country. Have kept in contact with For...

Re: Do Wildtrak Roller Shutters Leak Water

Hi All, I am looking at either buying a XLT or Wildtrak and would like to know do the genuine roller shutters leak water ??? I would assume it may be hard to tell as the tailgates aren't sealed, if I go ahead with a XLT I might get a hard lid instead. Thanks The hard lid will, let a certain amount o...

Re: Do Wildtrak Roller Shutters Leak Water

Have had two trips up north (6000 klms total ) and got rain on both occasions. We just put a cheap plastic tarp tossed over the suit cases and a few drops that got through just ran off the tarp and down the grooves of the tub to front or rear. Nothing got wet at any stage so happy enough with the se...

Show me just one canopy that doesn't leak somewhere, even slightly..
They are never completely sealed on every joint and leak and let dust in on some occasions depending on the situation..

Re: Do Wildtrak Roller Shutters Leak Water

Mine only leaks a slight amount but not a problem. Just put a cheap plastic tarp over anything you want to keep dry and not a problem..

Re: Towing mirrors - PX Wildtrak

In the market for new mirrors also. From what I have seen so far it appears that the Milenco brand seems to be the best vibration free and not affected by oncoming trucks. Hate those damn elephant ears you see hanging out and not retracted when not towing. See the overhanging the centre line on a br...

Re: Feed back required. People with PX I and II autos

Picked up the new Wildtrak yesterday and ran up 568 klms today and auto worked like a dream. Couldn't tell what gear it was in unless selecting Sports mode to check. Smooth as.
Will probably have another 1000klms on tomorrow as leaving early. Will have it run in over a week or so..
