Re: Where is the transmission line IN/OUT located on my Rang

The transmission cooler has to be removed and the transmission has to be over 80 C so the thermostat is open. I know you are DIY but I would be getting an auto transmission place to do it, as they have all the gear, the price may put you off but it is a flush so more fluid is used than just a fluid ...

Agree with Butch, the comments were worth the read and as for the speculation of the smaller engines longevity, only time will tell us all that.

Mechanically there are no problems blanking the egr. There are a couple of things that do happen though. The egr is used to waste gate the turbo, by it being left open when your foot comes off. I don't think this is a problem if you aren't a lead foot. The other thing I noticed when I removed my bla...

You need trailer brakes for anything over 750Kg, these can be simple override brakes up to 2000kg after that they have to be operated from the box office chair and electric brakes are the simplest for that, so an electric brake controller has to be fitted, Redarc tow pro and Tekonsha units are popul...

I used 120 ohm 1 watt carbon flim resistors on my van to stop the flickering and I would have bought them from Jaycar. Haven't had any problems in over 5 years. 1 for the brakes, 1 for each indicator and one for the tail lights and wired across the light positive to earth.

No, all vehicles can have a belly fire whether they are naturally aspirated, turboed or turbo with a dpf. The likely hood rises with turbos as the exhaust runs hotter and goes up a notch if the dpf does a burn off.

It is a fact of life that if you travel in spinifex country, you have to get under and clean out the spinifex or dead grass. It happens to all vehicles and especially those fitted with dpf's, even dozers with all the belly plates can accumulate enough material for a fire. One of the worst for fires ...

A deep cycle battery should be at least 12.8 volts fully charged so something is a miss. At 12.4 volts the charger should be either bulk charging or on the absorption stages so it should at least be putting in around 9 amps on absorption. It definitely should not be on the float stage. Might pay to ...
