Re: I BOUGHT A USED NEXT GEN RANGER!

Bigger wheels or bigger tyres??

If you fit larger dimeter tyres you will pay a plenty in fuel consumption and slight loss of power. If you fit larger diameter wheels and keep the same diameter tyres the ride will be harsher and if used off road they won’t be as good as standard.

Your choice.

Being under warranty, take it to a ford dealer, they will be able to read the fault code and rectify the fault. Guessing the fault would be vary difficult and may send you down a rabbit hole, an easy one is, if it has had a fuel filter change lately the to top hoses may have been crossed, no filter ...

On Thunderbolts way towing, I would not tow anything over 2 tonne gross down it with a 2l Ranger, locked down in the box at say 1st or 2nd your trans temps will go through the roof as the torque convertor slips. I have been down there a few times and control the braking by letting the the engine get...

Welcome, it might help if you stated the weight of the skid steer and trailer. It will handle the legal gcm weight and the only thing is, if you have constant max weight on the Ranger the rear springs will sag.

As above, will depend on where you are planning on going and how long you plan on keeping the Ranger (time and km). If you are sticking to the main routes you won't really need any of that stuff. If you're the type of person that likes to be super prepared and cover all bases then go for it. In say...
