Re: Ranger 3.2 litre vs 2 litre tow test.

It's not really a fair comparison, to be honest, and ultimately is not about the 2L vs the 3.2L but rather the 6spd vs the 10spd. I will say this I have owned my Wildtrak 3.2 manual for almost 5 years now, and had my 2L Work Raptor for 2 years. I would take the 3.2L manual every day of the week over...

By the sounds of things im better off going the platform on the canopy then and roof racks on the cabin! At least that's bolted through the roof and onto the internal supports... I guess the roof racks on the cab will have much less weight on them so shouldn't be as much stress on the rivets holdin...

Love our PX2 Wildtrak, extremely comfortable and takes us everywhere we want to go. People are always impressed when they drive it or come with us. I'd get another in a heartbeat, but I would continue to look at what the competition has to offer. We've done a lot to make ours suit ourselves but I th...

Re: Qld tyre size limits

33's are never legal under the NCOP on a Ranger mate (no they can't be certified). You get 25mm from tyres with a 50mm suspension lift now in Queensland (vsi-minor-modifications-v19_11-1218). This means the max tyre diameter you can have is 827mm to remain legal. So common sizes like 285/75/16 are n...

Lovells do now state "Note that The GCM (Gross Combined Mass) doesn’t form part of a Lovells GVM or BTC Upgrade or noted in our DIT Approval for Second Stage of Manufacture." They seem to have finally admitted it, though I do see they whinge about the GCM laws at every chance they get in the media.

255/85/16 KM2's on +35 Tuff Wheels = 33.3" diameter. These are obviously a narrow tyre, they fit 100% within the guard so no need for flares, no poke and no breaking the wheel track regs.

Rules haven't changed, they have been clarified. ARB for example always said GCM couldn't be increased under their SSM after they got legal advise that is also why they wouldn't upgrade GVM past 3350 on a Ranger post rego. Lovells just decided to interpret the rules differently and now this circular...

Pumping up is one area it really shines, though time is dependent on your air compressor. It is faster since you are doing 2 tyres at once so you aren't stopping to move to the next tyre etc and the amount of time you pause to monitor pressure is reduced. Braked Traction Control can never activate if a Locker is engaged on the axle as both wheels are always spinning at the same constant rate so BTC won't get triggered.
