Intercooler piping upgrade removes the turbo muffler and increases turbo noise.

Re: Ranger PX2 Intercooler Pipe Upgrade

Most likely that it’s just the extra noise because the turbo “muffler” has been removed as previously suggested. I wouldn’t be too worried.

Re: Ranger PX2 Intercooler Pipe Upgrade

I noticed an increase in turbo noise on my Px1 after changing my intercooler piping. It’s not what I’d call excessive but slightly louder. I believe that if you were losing boost pressure through a leaking hose then the sensors would bring up a check engine code. Did you happen to check the conditio...

Tailgate central locking is $17 from jaycar. Have just done my 20.25 ranger. Does that include harness, plugs, mounting bracket etc. I know it can be done on the cheap, but this kit is good quality. So does this have its own remote or uses the car remote  There’s a kit available on eBay and t...

Looking at the pics in this ad, it seems like there’s the single nut that holds the base tight. Hopefully you can access it through the light or sunglasses cavity without roof lining removal. Best of luck ;) https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F30257264...

Hot side pipe install

Install of alloy pipe seemed easier if I had silicon hoses on turbo and intercooler first. This allowed me to manipulate pipe into silicon joiners at each end then locate alloy pipe central to the joiners, ensuring it didn’t rub on any power steering lines. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190816/...

That’s a cool ride Phil. All you need now is wildtrak side steps and no one would be able to tell if it’s an XLT or a wildtrak. I put the flat style side steps on my Px1 XLT and they look nice in my opinion and help to stop stone chips on the bottom of the doors.

On the topic of negotiating a new policy price.
