Re: Under bonnet air compressor recommendation.

I just fitted an ARB pump under the driver's seat on my PX11. The switch is fitted the the dash Lightforce panel. The outlet faces the rear of the seat. Open the rear door, plug and play.

Snorkels - factory or aftermarket?

Has anyone fitted a Tanami snorkel. Apart from the factory Ford snorkel, the Tanami is the only one that will fit without cutting my flares. Any comments?

Re: Snorkels - factory or aftermarket?

The discussion continues regarding the best or the easiest to install or the most as-ethic. I am currently looking at which one to install. I recently completed a Vic High Country trip where we crossed over 30 rivers crossings. Only 2 of those crossings had water coming over the bonnet. Worried with...

Re: New ranger owner from Geelong-not sure i like it

I am not sure the comparisons on this tread are fair. One cannot compare a standard Ranger with a fully decked out Nissan or Toyota or any other fully decked out 4bie. I have just returned from the Victorian High Country and after 3 weeks camping in what has the reputation as being the best and toug...

Re: G'Day from Alice Springs

Hey Macca, Thanks for that. Another question if I may. In the photo of your truck, your arial is pointing straight up. Is that possible because you positioned the rack towards the rear of the truck as you mentioned, or is that arial angle achievable with the rack properly positioned? If so, it look...

Re: G'Day from Alice Springs

Hey Macca, Thanks for the reply. It sounds as though you have done your research as have I. I have no plans to add a long range tank, instead using Rotopax on the roof rack for those odd occasions where I will need the fuel. As for the battery size, the ARB under vehicle cradle limits the size of t...

Re: G'Day from Alice Springs

Gidday Calvin. An new FX4 build up on the way. Almost the same a my FX4. I have finished my build with only the snorkel to go. Just one thing. If you put a ARB battery sling on the chassis, you will not get a ARB Frontier long range tank under there as well should you eventually want one. Also I bel...

Heya all, I got the same low beam LEDs from Tyrant after seeing your pics. One quick question. Did you fit the ballast and all wiring inside the headlight and then inserted the globe with heat sink and then dust cover over the top of it all ? What I did was run all wiring to the globes inside of th...

arb poly. shhhh dont tell anyone i swore - arb. thats a naughty word ;) Put my ARB Poly in a week ago. So far so good and no issues. Just filled it up today for the first time. Empty light cam on when it had 20 litres left in the tank. So that equates to approx 160klm of fuel. I am looking into get...

Re: FX4 from melbourne

Great looking FX4. How do you like your choice of tyres, mine are the same. I am researching the headlight situation as low beam is terrible and needs changing mainly for safety. Coming off high with spots on, to low beam you can't see anything. Changed the lows in my 80 series years ago and was ha...

Re: The White Knight FX4

The Ezireach tray will take up to 400kg when fully extended. It extends to 70%, far enough to reach anything from the side of the tray. 4 tool boxes are built in on both sides with the forward boxes over the top of the wheel arches. It weighs approx 70kg and runs on side bearings attached to a frame...
