What BMW?

The latest thing I did to the Ranger is install an iDrive throttle controller. It's pricey but has made the Ranger's acceleration significantly better, especially after putting on steelies and larger tyres.

I looked at doing this mod but decided against it. Don't want to make life too easy for the kids, they need to learn about gravity. It's also good for the wife's strength training, no reason to not do bicep curls when we're bush.

Re: Led spotlights on a xlt mk2

Not spotlights but a 220W light bar, mounted on the roof. I use the light bar a lot in the paddocks and the vehicle's off so I just have it on a switch in the cabin, not wired to high beam. I've used packaged wiring harnesses in the past but they can limit where you run the wires, how far, amperage,...

Re: Nissan died so brought a XLT 2016 Ranger

A integrated light is a light or lights that do not require a traditional mount such as a bull bar or nudge bar, that are purposely made for a specific application :D I came from a GU to my 2017 Ranger. I was going to either get a Ranger or chop the GU, figured I'd go with the newer vehicle. Pretty...

Re: What Insurance company do you use......recommend or not?

My Ranger is with Suncorp because they gave an excellent price when I bought the Ranger in January. I don’t know who I’ll use once I need to renew, insurance mobs are either too expensive or have a bad rep or don’t offer good coverage. Hi, just received my Shannons renewal for my September 2016 Wild...

So when the engine overheats and Ford denies the warranty because of the wanky Raptor grille and double-stacked light bars, will Patriot cover the repair build? The video said they're using the Torqit exhaust from the dump pipe back, but the product spec sheet says DPF back. When the vehicle has a D...

I did similar mate, 1999 GU to a 2017 Ranger dual cab. My wife keeps telling me to sell the GU, and I promise I will, but I'm having trouble letting go - I still really enjoy driving the Patrol.

I think there's a significant difference between a cheap snorkel (eBay chinese crap, KutSnake, etc) and a reputable brand (Safari, TJM, etc), so I aways buy a reputable brand. I've read on other 4WD forums where people installed cheap snorkels and the snorkel failed in a year or two, often due to th...

Summit bar with side protection = maximum protection Not sure that statement is as accurate as it reads. I wouldn't call ARB gear "maximum protection", they don't compare when put up against properly fabricated brush bars and sliders. And there's so many decent fab shops these days, there's really ...

Well I’ll start it with this <snip> I can only imagine how this must drive I've never understood why people jack their fourbys up like that, it makes them so unstable and increases your chance of a rollover.
