What are you planning on carrying up there?
As Linc says do your research on the tracks that rivet to the roof, really depends if you're using the car on rough tracks or not.

The guy who built mine used some 150x6mm Alminium C channel, lined up with existing chassis tray mounts. Then managed to squeeze in a 960mm wide drawer in between.

I've been looking at them but thought they didn't come in that size? Wasn't listed on their site 2 months ago. My mate got them in 285/75/16 on his Landcruiser and they seem to be a great all round tyre.

Return from what? The transmission cooler is water cooled and mounted to the side of the transmission, nothing to disconnect/connect to. Stick your head under the passenger side and you will see it. Be aware these transmissions need to be at a certain temp to replace fluid and check levels. Maybe ge...

Get it flushed (not just dropping the pan oil and refilling), that's all it may need. I serviced my tranny at 148,000km, trans guy said it looks like it hadn't been done. Looked like yours without the cruddy bits. Just had it flushed again last week at 197,000km and he said it looked nice and clean ...

Well that I can't help you with! What area are you in, people here can probably advise a reliable mechanic. There is no way to test a lead frame assembly without Ford tools, even then it's not guaranteed. They were known to have wires chafing (or similar?) in the gearbox and cause all sorts of issue...

I sounds like you sort of know what to look for but not enough to be confident with your testing. As above, a couple hours at a good mechanic should have you in the right direction without spending on tools you'll never use again. I'm not a full bottle on it myself but I try and research to understa...

Where are you located? Firstly get FORSCAN and check for any error codes. Oil leaks are most likely not connected to your other issues. Are those figures from the trip meter or actual measured? If measured I reckon you have the most fuel efficient Ranger in Australia!!!
Later models with DPF seem to be less efficient than the non-DPF versions.

My steering wheel was wearing away in one spot so I just got one of those Supercheap ones today. So far feels really good with more grip. I checked out the other covers there but the contour stitch felt by far the best in my hands.

A V6 engine can be used in many sized vehicles from passenger cars to utes to vans to whatever. Inline 6 would be limited in that regard and in today's manufacturing world that is it's biggest drawback.

NelsonPK, they used to do a upgrade kit that increased GCM to 7000kg. Since then the rules were clarified last year and supposedly the GCM upgrade was not allowed to happen anymore (GVM upgrade still OK though) but some installers seem to be getting away with the GCM upgrade still (eg Lovells).

Did it to my PX1 maybe 8 months ago, a little bit louder but nothing like a proper sports exhaust, the turbo whistle when you let off the accelerator is sort of loud. No noticeable difference in fuel economy.

I installed switches on each of my canopy locks and wired them to the bonnet switch. That has a few benefits, first it doesn’t relock, it won’t let you lock the car as it thinks that the bonnet is up and the alarm also protects the canopy.

Drive it like you stole it! As an unwritten rule, cars that have been driven harder than average straight off the showroom floor often go better and get better fuel economy than cars that are babied for the first few thousand km.

Mate, the main reason for that redline is for over revving during steep decent or trying to hold a load back down steep hills. Fair enough, makes sense. It's just that every other car I have owned would rev to redline (or close to it) when flooring it in Drive, the Ranger changes at almost 1000rpm ...
