Re: Can the reverse sensers be turned off

When you engage the reverse the right display screen will allow you to switch the beeping off if that is what you are after. I do not think you can disable it permanently. I know this is a really old post, but this annoying beeper issue has been bugging me for months when reversing my newly acquire...

Re: SITE IS BACK UP

Definitely good news, and thanks for not just descending into a facebook group. A proper forum is vastly superior and more enjoyable to participate in.

Re: 2021 engine's

the is no way much any shopping centre in Oz is going to make extra wide parking spaces for American utes To be fair to butch, I think the whole point of a "truck with purpose" is that it is rarely if ever parked in a shopping centre car park. That's where you're more likely to park a "truck with b...

Re: 2021 engine's

Inline 6 would be limited in that regard This is what I wonder too. How well does an inline 6 fit into the Ranger engine bay? I'm sure it can be wedged in, but part of the appeal of the current engine configurations Ford use (straight 4,5) is that they are more compact and presumably less cylinders...

Re: Who believes the gear change indicator?

Very much eco oriented . Thanks for the insights Ecouncil. My concern is that a "too extreme" approach to eco is counter-productive as everyone ignores it. For example: Turn it off with Forscan. and Its sole purpose is fuel ecomony In short, every response has suggested ignoring the "eco feedback"....

Who believes the gear change indicator?

(For those who haven't driven a manual Ranger, there is an up-arrow indictor in the dash which comes on when it thinks you should shift to a higher gear. There is no indicator suggesting a down-shift.) My experience is that the indicator comes on way too early. If I shift up when it says so I'm clos...

Re: Bizarre recall notice 17B36

I think Ford's computer systems are all "Buss Up". They just notified me that my "Ford Focus" is due for its 15K service. Never had a Ford Focus and the Ranger that I do have isn't due for its next service until 2020. As best I can tell, my solitary Ranger (yes I only have one) is now known inside M...

Bizarre recall notice 17B36

I received a bizarre recall notice in the post today - ostensibly from Ford Australia. Actually the letter contains three recall notices, all called 17B36 for three different VINs. None of those VINs are anything close to my Ranger. A VIN lookup suggests that they are all Ford Granada/Scorpios sold ...

Re: BFG T/A KO2

unfortunately no. i did exactly that after blowing a tyre. ran a smaller dia on the rear and the height diff set off the sensors as you are in affect 'crabbing' along the rd or track. Wow. So you're saying that the rear wheel difference affects the front steering sensors? Ok, good to know. I'll bet...

Re: BFG T/A KO2

ranger has a steering wheel position sensor. running a different dia tyre on the front is not advisable as the steering wheel will bias the smaller tyre and turn the steering wheel slightly. this will upset the sensor and send alarms and lights into the cabin. its a mistake i made using a different...
