Lease up in the 200 series and time to move her on. Picked up my new 2.0 Wildtrak last Friday and loving it so far. Few mods to come over the next month or so will update as things progress.

How good is the tech stuff on these rigs :D :D

Re: Ranger v Hilux

Had a good look over the Hilux when picking up my LC and was pretty underwhelmed by it. The back seat leg room and headroom is atrocious - the touch screen - WTF?. A couple of weeks I was offered by my sales guy to take one for a spin (Manual SR5 DC) while killing time waiting for my service to be d...

Dropped off the Ranger and took delivery yesterday of the 200 series - very nice. Had a look over the new hilux while waiting - PX Mk2 kills it.

Re: Time to move on

Gazz Wanted a bigger wagon so was looking at Y62 Patrol and LC200. Decided on a VX LC200 series which will be current model not the next facelift model with DPF. Patrol was pretty close though as the new Ti-L has a sharp price and a lot of goodies and that VK56 is a sweet engine. Will probably keep ...

Time to move on

Sealed the deal on the next vehicle this week and have decided not to go with another Ranger for the next lease. Not because of any issue with the vehicle as I have had over 100,000 kms out of the girl and all trouble free (still got the original battery  ). Its been a fantastic vehicle and c...

Well I gotta say it looks good and has pretty good fruit from what I can translate. Supposed to be released to media here tomorrow I read somewhere. Nothing's real flash with the powertrain so they missed the opportunity to put their nose in front there imo but I'm sure it will work well. 3.5t towin...

Seems that's the new one from interweb forums and such. I'm sure it will be a nice ute but from the drivetrain specs leaked it's pretty unimpressive? 2.8l with more torque than the current D4D it replaces. Talk of coil spring in higher end models is interesting. Nice iPad though  http://www.ca...

I think I read something about the bulbar/snorkel in a Facebook group but it had nothing to do with the vehicle and more to do with a bulbar install that removed the splash guard near the standard air intake location.

Mines still going like a train - love it.

Just a bit of fun guys, nothin serious but I think it will be interesting to see what this pressure of competition will mean for the next gen hilux. I tend to think you need to get used to the movement if you are driving on soft sand especially if that was your first go. That just happens when following tracks up the top of the beach in the soft stuff. Sometimes you just need to slow a little if the vehicle is bouncing around as long as it is co...

+1 on it being the ARB install. Mine did the same and I just found the area were the bar was hitting and bent the plate out of the way. Just search the site and you will see it is a common issue. Was a video as well. Really sounds crap when you hit a pot hole at speed.

I came from 120 series D4D auto to my PX and don't regret it. In my opinion the Prado rode on the hwy a lot smoother as you'd expect coil v leaf but that's not to say the Ranger is uncomfortable in stock set up. Size inside the cabin is just as good with the DC Ute benefits for separating cargo & pa...

Interesting to see what drivetrain they go with ? Looks aren't up to Ranger but if they pony up with a V6 TD and 8 speed auto plus all the electronics fruit could be good. http://www.carsguide.com.au/news-and-reviews/car-news/2016_toyota_hilux_spy_shots_83272_20140422 https://www.facebook.com/NewVig...
