I think the harness to lead frame was replaced when I had the gears holding too long but when I had the rough gear changes I'm certain dealer replaced both the lead frame and valve body. I had my lead frame harness replaced due to holding gears too long instead of allowing the tranny to kick down to lower gear when needed, later on my valve body was replaced due to rough gear changes, no problems since and I never had any warning lights and would not know if i had fault codes, fixed...

I have a 2012 XLT and the reverse sensors have always turned off when a trailer is attached. If it has an oem towbar, it should have a trailer module under the passenger seat. I'm with RACV which I found to be reasonable; maybe because I have multiple policies and been with them for yonks. No trouble adding accessories so far with them as long it is legal of course.

I don't know if the 6sp had this but at least on the 10sp box you can leave it in drive and use the little manual buttons on the gear stick to remove/add top gears that the auto box is allowed to use. This way you can leave it on auto but prevent use of the high gears as you wish. With just one cli...

Not true the conrods are removable. But they are not supposed to be re-used. The problem is just buying one piston. Also I would get the injectors checked, odds on the cracked piston was caused by a faulty / sticky injector. Rebuild kits are available Example https://umrengines.com.au/page/2/?make=...
