Re: Full 5/5 suspension lift PX2

Nice work. Do some of these mods need an engineer's certificate?

There are subtle differences between the under-seat wells and surrounds. Both seem to be of a reaonable size.

Re: 2021.75 XLT Spacecab

Just a further comment. The Offroaddownunder battery tray mentioned is designed to match bolt holes around the dual cab seat recess. My supercab seat recess (2014XLT) has a different looking shape/format. About 170mm deep, 140mm wide at top, 80mm at bottom and about 400mm long. Best bet would be to ...

Re: 2021.75 XLT Spacecab

Yes. Misread ad that it was just the Mazda dual cab.

Searching forum with 'supercab' and 'dual battery under bonnet' reveals some discussion on battery placement for the supercab.

G'day Flanno.

Could use the storage spaces under the removable seat pads. See this product here https://offroaddownunder.com.au/product ... azda-bt50/

To be sure, it might be better to go for the ARB 3,500Kg upgrade.

Re: BFG T/A KO2

I believe the OEM Dunlop A22s had a diameter of 30.6 inches. The 32s therefore give a ride height 0.7 inch higher (half of 1.4) but more importantly there is a circumference change of a massive 112mm. (2 x pi x 16-15.3 = 4.4 inches) No wonder you had trouble lincolnland. My 20mm may not trigger faul...

Re: BFG T/A KO2

Successfully had my 5 new US made KO2s fitted. Plan to regularly rotate all 5. Bought an alloy wheel from wreckers for the 5th as my spare is a steel rim. The old steel spare has a perfectly good Scorpion ATR on it which I could use as an extra spare. Its circumference is about 20mm or 0.7% larger t...

Re: Auto relocking

Don’t know if this problem is solved but pages 28 to 30 of the PX1 manual describe the method for enabling and disabling autolocking. Too detailed to describe here. Might work for PX2.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Looks like they will be made in USA. To be sure will insist on it when ordering at the tyre dealer.

BFG T/A KO2

Hi Folks; Looking to buy a set of BFG T/A KO2s in size LT265/65/R17. Meant to have raised white lettering. Oz website doesn't detail place of manufacture. I fear they might get sourced from SE Asia rather than the USA. Are forum members seeing 'Made In USA' on their sidewalls? What 2 character facto...

Re: Roadsafe Front Recovery Points for PX2

Markmark, I put a pair on my PX1 XLT. Yes they hang a bit low but this means my Smartbar is cleared and you can get at them. Also they may act as a skid block prior to your bash plate or CVJ copping a whack. Tip is to fully assemble bolts and nuts using lubricant if necessary. Then undo and proceed ...

Re: bullbar for new wildtrak

I have a full face Smartbar installed 2014 on a 2014 XLT. Yet to install recovery points. The ARB central point or the Superior Engineering central point would mean scrapping my existing sump guard. My Smartbar mountings would not interfere with installation of Roadsafe recovery points. Existing cha...

Re: Towbar Removal

Already under GVM but removal of the towbar just part of collective weight shedding to improve handling and fuel economy. The supplied ute mat weighed about 40kg. So ditching that, removal of the towbar, one house battery instead of two(pending lithium) plus other adjustments, should see over 100kg ...

Towbar Removal

Have a 2014 Ranger XLT Supercab , tub removed and heavy duty alloy tray added. Looking to reduce weight when touring. Thinking of removing the complete towbar assembly (otherwise known as 'the plough'). Trailer lead can be simply detached and tied up out of the way. This does remove a recovery point...

Re: A/c leak in front passenger floor

I assume that you don't have a sunroof. With our old Ford Escape it had a gutter and drain pipe under the sunroof glass. The drain pipe was blocked with gunk and water ran down inside the bodywork and soaked the carpet.

Cracked Windscreen

Another lesson learnt the hard way. Thought I would give my 2014 PX XLT a wash. Car was in the sun. Washed windscreen with warm soapy water then a rinse off with tap water. Crackkkkkk! About 25cm of a curved crack in the outer laminate halfway down at driver's side pillar. I would have thought the w...
