Hello from the Philippines

Post by ragnarlothbrok »

Hello everyone. This is my first post in this forums. I have been looking for Ranger specific forums in the internet and found Philippine based forums has limited community of rangers owners.

I decided to turn to foreign forums so i could get to be in a community of ranger owners.

I have got a 2020 Philippine spec XLS 2.2L 4x4. Sweet and practical ride. Here's my ranger sitting in my work place parking area. ImageImage

G'day mate, Welcome to the Ranger Hood. Lots of great information and plenty of help on here. Could you post up the specs for your Philippines ute? It would be good to compare with the Australian utes.
cheers, Butch.

Welcome aboard. Can I ask a question please... I am intrigued why all the cars have their windscreen wipers lifted off the windscreen? :?:

Locals here lift their wipers as well, the missus tells me they do it because they think the blades will stick to the windscreen.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys

Haha its funny, i have posted the same picture at ranger5g forum and and they were also wondering of the same thing about the wipers.

Its because of the sunny hot weather in the Philippines. The idea is that the windscreen heats up because of the sun and to avoid damaging the rubber blades (because of conduction with windscreen when its down) we lift it up.

Here you go mate. Its straight from ford philippines website.

I have the XLS 4X4 MT. i should have gone with the XLS Sport (which is the same thing plus stepboards, black painted grills and black painted Xlt rims.) but i didnt like the color available at the dealer. It worked out fine me though because i did not like the black painted rims and grill anyway. Ended up installing an aftermarket raptor style grill and gold Rota Grid rims. Which i so likeee.

The only thing i missed out is the 8" touch screen LCD. I think its because dealer sold me an outgoing model (bought it last dec 2019) ImageImage

I have included a picture my ute when it was almost stock.ImageImageImage

Thanks mate.

My girlfriend has actually been to Melbourne starting last december to visit her aunt who is already a permanent resident there. She's a chemical engineer. My gf just got home to the philippines just before covid19 broke out.
