Hello

Post by foxmcscrooge »

HI all,

Just got rid of the old 2007 BT50 and upgraded to a new XLT. Swore I'd never buy another grey car but I couldn't help myself. I've fitted lift / wheels / tyres / seat covers / catch can / secondary filter and tonneau cover is on the way. I plan to do some light upgrades / long range tank / rock sliders / snorkel / plazmaman intercooler hoses / transmission cooler and thermostat. Might get a throttle controller. Undecided on a bull bar but leaning toward Drivetech Rival if I go that way. Great to find such a wealth of knowledge!

Old vs New. The old BT was a good bus. Around Australia, several Fraser and Moreton Island trips, 3 Cape trips, Israelite Bay to Eucla. Never did any desert trips though. The Ranger is so much more comfortable it's not funny. It will almost feel like a crime to take it off road.
