Hey Guys and Gals

Post by pborzeta »

Just popping in to say G'day.

I've recently (one week ago exactly) made the conversion from having sports car to a brand new Ranger Sport, and while I do miss the zippiness of the sports car I'm absolutely loving driving this beast :D

I've got a big drive aound Australia planned, and I'll no doubt have some questions to ask and I can't wait to learn more a out these awesome cars!

Cheers,

Pete

Hey Pete, welcome mate.

Where you from? Post some pics of the rig.

The search function works really well for any questions but anything you can’t find, just ask away.

I did the same thing, went from a WRX as a daily driver to the Ranger (Sport model as well). The lack of go go took a bit of getting used to (plus going from manual to auto...I still find myself putting a hand on the shifter as if I'm about to change gears!) but now I'm very happy with it as a daily, plus it's proving to be exceptionally useful.

And we kept the WRX as my partner's daily...so I still get to drive it when I want a bit of fun!

I went from an XR6 Turbo, to a Ranger.
Big difference, but we got in to camping, so had to make the switch. Still miss the XR sometimes, but never regretted and love the Ranger.

Thanks everyone!

It has certainly been an adjustment, I do miss the nimble zippiness of the lowered sports car, but I've just started a trek from Melbourne to Cairns via Adelaide and Darwin and I couldn't be happier with the Ranger!

That sounds like a great trip mate. Post some pics of the Ute and the trip as you go.
