2021.75 XLT Spacecab

Post by Flanno59 »

First post here, please go easy on me…..
Looking for insights on dual battery setups that go behind rear seat backrest
Don’t have the flexibility to fold backrest forward as in the crewcab. So how have people gotten around this problem?

Any help greatly appreciated

G'day Flanno.

Could use the storage spaces under the removable seat pads. See this product here https://offroaddownunder.com.au/product ... azda-bt50/

I think they are only present on the duel cab not the space cab :( which is a bummer.

Yes. Misread ad that it was just the Mazda dual cab.

Searching forum with 'supercab' and 'dual battery under bonnet' reveals some discussion on battery placement for the supercab.

Cheers, Edsel.

Don't know about 2021 super cab but 2012 super cab has the spaces under the seat pads and I would say they would be exactly the same, in fact just looked at a video and they are.

That’s a good outcome if they are the same

Just a further comment. The Offroaddownunder battery tray mentioned is designed to match bolt holes around the dual cab seat recess. My supercab seat recess (2014XLT) has a different looking shape/format. About 170mm deep, 140mm wide at top, 80mm at bottom and about 400mm long.
Best bet would be to visit battery shop and see what fits and then figure out best way to secure it.

They look to bolt into the holes that had scrivets used to fix the plastic bins into position.

My supercab has the holes in what looks to be a very similar position to those on in the pics on their website.
My rides;
2020 Ranger XL+ Hi-Rider.
2014 D40 Navara.
2017 Honda Click 125i (Scooter).
2018 Yamaha XSR 900.

There are subtle differences between the under-seat wells and surrounds. Both seem to be of a reaonable size.
