Hi Nath

Wheels are 17x8s but not sure of offset as I just pointed and said "those in black please". It is because of the wheel offset that I have had to get the flares as tyres stuck out by 20mm or so. Tyres are 265/70/17s. I only went up one size in the tyre to bring speedo into line with what I was actually doing.

Steelies can be made to work, just sometimes involves swapping till you get good ones or finding someone who has a really good balancer (some even do them on car for better accuracy)

Yeah they are the ones I have on my rig mate. They do the job just fine. U could buy 4 sets for the same price as the egr ones.

Did you have to do any drilling to put them on?

Are you running spacers on the rims?

Thats cool, I've got a black truck as well

Hows the colour match up close? thinking of getting them. can get so much better rims. sucks trying to stick within the +30 offset range.

same question as above ^ any drilling involved in installing them?
got any close up pics of any gaps or is the fit pretty good?

Cheers

They are painted in all the ranger colours. So they match perfect. When u order u say what paint code and name u want. They are listed at the bottom of the ebay description.
Why do you have to stay in the pos30 range?
They come with speed clips and stainless screws and washers to fit in the holes where the clips are standard.
The only holes I drilled were underneath the sills..I put a self driller up through the flare and into the sills just to make them stay better. Dont want to rip them off.
And behind the flares there is double sided tape aswell that stick in some spots to make them fit better aswell. I just cleaned the spots on the guards with metho where the double sided tape would be. Pretty straight forward and they came packaged really well like a massive noodle. Just a pain in the ass to remove the standard clips out of the guards as everyone knows lol.

cos in the Pos 30 range you dont reeeally need flares.
i've found some rims i like tonight and will likely get them. they are +25 can hopefully get away without needed flares. should only stick out 20-30mm from what ive been reading

What size tyres are you fitting?
Because 285's on pos30 don't sit out much from the guards.

Does anybody know if the TJM flares are the same as the EGR flares? I'm thinking of getting the colour coded TJM rear bar and steps so was think of getting the TJM flares at the same time. Everyone here seems pretty happy with the EGR ones though.

Do you mean the rubber seal is a bit off?
I am impressed with them..if i ever rip mine off or break them or whatever ill prolly buy more off the same guy just with bolts holes or something. The bolt hole ones look great but they are 3 inches wide instead of 2 like what we have. Ill be going more offset eventually so it might not be so bad :P

Yer around the fuel lid looks a bit odd. Close on one side but far off under the fuel lid and the rubber sits off a bit

TJM Flares installed, was abit of a pain but got it done in the end. Required some modification of the mudflaps and had to drill some new holes in the flares as the ones provided weren't great.

Fittment around the fuel cap

Small cut i made in the mudflap so the flare would fit around the mudflap.

Replced the crap plastics body clips. Went and bought some panel clips and metal screws for a more secure fit

The ebay ones for $260 shipped that you talk about are 90% ok

I found the drivers side went on perfect, holes lined up to factory, mould conforms to metal panels all the way around.
Passenger side took a lot longer to fit - had to file the flare holes a little so the hole would line up with factory hole.
Re-fitted factory mudflaps all round, and I used the factory plastic clips.

The flares came with come metal fittings, but the factory ones hold up ok - we will see how we go.

Fuel filler panel is a little off, just like STRONGY found - although it is not so visible on black.

There is what looks like a factory rivet in each rear corner on the rears which I did not not want to drill out. I used black silicone to keep secure (more of a safety net - I could have probably done without)

We will see how they perform over time, but its difficult to argue with $160 colour coded + $100 shipping....

I'm keen on getting a set of the RGR flares but also have a TJM snorkel which seems to extend down to right about where the edge of the EGR flare will come up to from what I can see in the pictures. Does anybody know if the TJM snorkel and the EGR flares fit together? I'd love to see a photo of the two of them co-existing if possible.

Many Thanks

Mine arrived today, I damaged my panels the other day at landcruiser park (5000km on a XLT) was pretty devo.

Held up my flares to the car today (got the cheapies off ebay for $260) and the colour match is pretty good, i'm fairly impressed. they cover ALL the scratches I did to my car =] and they will look boss once fitted.

there was one slight paint imperfection on one of the flares (right hand front) with a little bit too much paint and its like dripped if you know what i mean.

all in all for $260 I'm pretty happy, especially considering I do use it as a fourbie and do like to hit some tough dirt tracks on the weekends. Good chance ill scratch em' up in the future. so $260 was more than justifiable over the $1000 EGR ones

will post pics once fitted

he can do matte black or colour code. hes pretty good with communication just send him a message on eBay with what you need he also does the bolt style ones with give you another 3 inch outside the wheel arch. you would need to run negative offset tho to fill them!

hmm 3" ones look good and would go nice with 35s but drilling holes in panels would hurt too much!

edit: appears its just screw look - still not sure if I'm keen on that look.

thats great! So the general sensus is that people are pretty happy with the ebay fit, and colour coding?

I spotted one odd fit at the tank filler, and one odd colour match....but apart from that it's pretty spot on!
