Thai Ford Ranger Race Truck

I think this deserved to shared Image

Its a Thai Ranger (body is similar to what we get in the Philippines) buy according to the video its got a 3.2 turbo diesel engine. Looking at the truck in the video it seems that have upgraded the radiator and turbo hoses with a more durable one. And of course they have it lowered.

What do you think?

Bout time Ford got on board, we campaigned Mazda backed BT-50 for many yeas as Ford wanted no involvement.

we are racing our Mazda backed BT-50s and Mazda 2's this weekend.

The 3.2 in the Ranger is not allowed in the pickup class

Are you directly involved in the series? That is interesting!

You said the 3.2L is not allowed on the series. What is the regulation on engine displacement?

Ive checks the rules foe 2020, and my previous is not correct.

the 3.2 is allowed but min weight is high.

Vehicle minimum weight including driver.

CC = Engine capacity.

KG = minimum weight.

Given the class run 46mm intake restrictors Iam surprised they went with the 3.2 and not the 2.0 to take advantage of the 355kg weight saving.

I see. That is very high for a competitive series.

Also i have heard the driver said it uses the stock 6 speed manual tranny. If that is the same as we get then the first gear is way too low i think.
