The bus has 280k km on it now and it started doing weird things lately which started with the traction control and the cog coming on and going into limp mode. Stopping and restarting clears the fault and away I would go for the rest of the day with no issues.
Recently it started happening a lot more often and is very random with no warning when it will happen.
I have checked all the boost pipes and it has a new inter cooler so i'll rule that out for a start.
My mechanic has a better scanner than me and has come up with the output speed sensor.
On my research to date it led me to believe it may be the lead frame in the auto. For the last few months I would get just lights and limp mode and sometimes when taking off it would go into a neutral or be stuck in low gear where you would rev it's head off and you would get no where just like a slipping clutch but this is an auto.
This was just inconvenient but it all came to a head the other night on the way to work I was doing 100km/h on my way to work when the vehicle suddenly lurched almost putting me through the windscreen, howling the tyres and the engine was hitting 6k on the taco

I slowed down and everything went back to normal .I consider myself very lucky no one was following me closely behind and that it was a strait dry piece of road. It could have been a lot worse if i was going round a bend or if it was raining

So now i'm a bit reluctant to drive it at all and trying to get my mechanic to organize the lead frame bits so i can get it replaced.
My research shows that these early px-1's had a lead frame problem so I would just like to hear from anyone that has had the same prob and how they went with replacing it and if it solved their problems.
