Sorry if this has been done before, a search didn't reveal anything.
I want to run Safety Dave rear caravan camera wiring from the rear of a 2022 Ranger to the dash. Monitor mounts to windscreen via suction cup. Both ends of the camera cable have a video connector. Anyone done this before to give advice?
thanks in advance.
wiring route from rear to dash
Re: wiring route from rear to dash
You can run from rear via chassis rail then enter under drivers seat which has a rubber grommet entry point then up to you dash via the sill under the plastic sill covers , the cable under the ranger can be protected by convoluted tubing and attached to chassis rail by plastic or metal cable ties.
Worked for me as I did this when running my reverse camera cable.

Re: wiring route from rear to dash
Thanks Trublu, how did u go with getting the wiring onto the Dash? thru where?
Re: wiring route from rear to dash
Take off the windscreen pillar cover and you will have heaps of room to bring your cable up from the lower kick panel area, once cable is through then put pillar cover back on.
In my ranger I have a clip on mirror reverse screen, you will have enough gap space from pillar to dash for cable as I also ran a supply cable for dash mount GPS.
Re: wiring route from rear to dash
thanks, I have a grab handle on the pillar so that will have to come off first.
