Cruise control keeps cutting out

Hi all, since new my 2016 XLT has an intermittent problem with the cruise control randomly turning off. Can anyone shed some light on what it may be and how to fix it.

I'd be checking you brake light switch on the pedal, might be out of adjustment, loose or defective, could be a loose wire loom connection.

No offence meant here but another reason is, some travel with their left foot resting very lightly on the brake pedal, I am sure everyone has followed a vehicle where the brake light goes on and off for no reason.

Check the trailer and trailer brake controller wiring too.

Do you have a pedal booster for exhaleration and does the power train light appear on the dash with an ABS signal?
