Hi All,
I have recently purchased a 2017 Everest Trend (dont hate the everest crowd), it has a genuine bullbar. The lights seem to have an odd wiring setup. Fog lights work all correctly. The indicator/parkers were wired with a loom that has a genuine sticker on it. The highbeam/drl gets intercepted, the indicator gets intercepted. The strange thing is the original indicator gets bypassed, and the DRLs dont work.
The original indicator doesn't even have a way to be plugged back in and the harness has additional plugs that are not the same as any other lights. The parker/indicator in the bullbar has a plug that looks like the DRL plug on the back of the headlight.
Ive had a guy that does RWCs say that it wouldnt pass as the fixed original indicator light is there but not working. Any ideas how this is normally wired?

You will find with any bull bar that is fitted to ranger or everest that has indicator lights then the vehicles oem indicators will be disabled in accordance with ADR.

Take it to ford and get it fixed, its worth paying for at you will be chasing faults for ever.

It same as my ranger with oem bullbar, the indicator dont have any plug and my small 5watt light didn’t on either, just like @trublu said one or another. Old ADR if main light on the DRL must off but nowdays most car still have their DRL on all the time.
I call ford part they said they have split loom for it (hope they do) but for me it easier just jumper it together so all 4 indicator (2each side)work at the front incase one kaput people can see another on when Iam turning

Trublu is correct. The Australian design rule was changed a few years ago so the vehicle has only one set of indicators on the front.

The body control module will detect a different resistance if you fit extra lights, this will trigger the BCM's circuit protection, this is why they disable the lights when adding the bar.
The BCM runs a solid-state circuit protection system that monitors the load and resistances of
the vehicles electrical system. If an abnormality is detected the BCM cuts any circuit outside its tolerance. When a fault is
detected it triggers a counter in the BCM that can only happen a limited amount of times before the BCM cuts out the left-hand
side low beam and or high beams permanently.

Mine actually has all the indicators working both oem and bullbar, as Trublu said they bullbar indicators are wired through relays.
Never had any problems re transport department and we don't have safety certificates in our state. Many times licenced inspectors don't know the rules and just see a couple of lights not working, someone was told to remove their clearview mirrors because of the width, again an inspector not knowing the rules.

Probably need to redesign the bullbar with suitable wattage indicator light not tiny 5watt hardly see in bright daylight

Yes it small T10 bulb hardly see its on day light, it wont fit T20 base on it
