5000k Noisy engine

Heading to Torque Ford in the morning to have a mechanic come on a drive with me to listen too this annoying Pinging/metallic rattle sound I can hear when under load between 1700 Rpm and 3000rpm from a static start at about 1/4 on the throttle . Stay tuned

If it is an auto, check the shield on the trans cooler, give it a tap with a screw driver handle to see if it has a buzz/rattle, if so replace the rivets with bolts, or better still replace it with a air/oil cooler.

What was the outcome?

I also have the same rattle (between 1500-2500rpm) regardless of gear selection, under light throttle.

Mine is a 2021 10 speed and needs a new gearbox. Took it to the dealer for 30k service, mentioned tinny sound, they said needs a new gearbox - under warranty of course.
