Anyone got an ARB Ascent canopy and got the rhino rack platform or the ARB racks? Trying to figure out which one I like, if you do can you post up a few pictures!? Cheers!

I'd be interested to know why Bosna? I have a Flexiglass Sport and a Rhino Pioneer rack. Very happy with both of them.
Once I had the roof racks installed, the total height was massive in comparison to the arb set up. I had to put huge spacers on the bars on the cab to level up with the 2 bars on the canopy. And as I wanted to install a tradesman roof rack, I couldn't as there was no chance of getting access into underground parking. The arb full tradesman rack has its own short supporting feet to fit to the canopy making then over all height much shorter with out he use of roof rack bars. And was gutted to find out the arb had central locking on the sides too. The only reason I went for the flexiglass is because that's what ford recommended
I've never tried ARB stuff, but have RTC tracks and RLT600 legs on my tonneau cover, and they are a solid product. (RTC tracks are designed for canopies and tonneau covers)
Currently looking into the same dilemma - go ARB trade rack on ascent canopy, or go 2 bars with pioneer tray or similar for flexibility of a rooftop tent down the track.. watching with interest.
Here's ARB's more recent MK2 Ranger. I think a + of the trade rack is the lower profile vs. going bars then rack which would be adding more height. Would be nice if ARB offered a rack similar to the platform (think tradie rack minus the sides) for those that don't necessarily want to mount awnings on the side, but still utilise a huge rack space for lashing swags down etc.

the side on the arb rack might hinder you in the future. possibly? whereas the pioneer tray has removable sides should u require. plus the amount of bolt ons from rhino is huge. worth looking into. cheers

P.S. I've never been sold on red, but how good does it look colour coded!

Ive got the ARB canopy posts and internal brackets fitted to my ascent canopy when it was fitted to the car.
Waiting for my Rhino platforms to arrive, 1st week AUG apparently ( NZ, everything is slow )
2 platforms coming, one for the canopy and one on the cab.

Looks great. Do you have the internal supports or does the brackets holding the rack fit just to he canopy?.... I ask as i would love to fit those arb brackets to my flexiglass canopy to get the small height

You guys have sold me on the Accent canopy and the Rhino Platform. Looks great. How's the overall height looking with the Rhino Tradie rack?
As Linc' said above the height would be my only concern with it vs the Platform which I was contemplating.
Cheers guys.

Cool Longneck thanks for that. Thought it'd have to been over the 2100 mark which seems to be the default for a lot of parking areas.
Even with just the platform it'd be right on/too close for comfort.
Cheers.

Hey longneck, so from your pictures the supports only go as rar as the top edge of the tub and not to the floor of the tub? Also what is the load rating on the Rhino rack mounted on the Ascent canopy? I have the same setup and interested in cost as well if you don't mind.
Thanks
Wal

Curious to know the load capacity as well. That is a big and probably heavy platform and I wonder how much stuff you can put there before you reach the limit of the canopy without internal support.

Anyone? Please?
Sorry mate, no they don't go to the floor. I double check tomorrow, as load limit, when I asked I was told 150kg.
Website however says 100
