Hope everyone is well and getting keen for some holidays for most soon.

Decided to have a look and see how much room the plastic tub liner took up and was very surprised by how much more room there is without it.
The long term plan is to get a canopy and drawers and do the whole set up, about to move to sunny state which is also on fire at the moment, but for now to avoid just having the bare ribs on the bottom i have decided to put down some board with more marine ply. This will also stop things bouncing around and denting up the tub when its not fully loaded.

Will have some small boards for just in front of the wheel arches as well

Did have one question though. When drilling through the tub, obviously from the bottom up to avoid important things, what sort of rust prevention should i be worried about? A simple coat of paint enough or have to go and get something particular.

One last thing if anyone wants a tub liner for 20 buckaroos and they want to travel to glorious Wagga Wagga hit me up. I know the chances of this are low haha. Otherwise it will be getting cut and put in a dumpster at work.

Cheers and have a good weekend.

Next purchase coming up this weekend and looking for a bit of feedback.

Wanting to purchase a canopy, I have read some of the threads on this forum, and have narrowed it down ,not at all, to thermoplas, carryboy, flexiglass.

If anyone has any bad points for any of these let me know.

Also off to the Brisbane 4wd show so hopefully this will give some inspiration and bargains.

Cheers

Hi Bailey,

Just wondered what canopy you went for in the end? I'm looking at the Flexiglass FlexiEdge... It's their basic one I think, but colour coded and has brake light etc.

Bullbar is on the list next!

Cheers

Yeah I ended up going with the new carryboy canopy. Got a deal I couldn’t refuse at the Brisbane 4x4 show and the other big competitors wouldn’t budge on their “show specials”. So far I’m loving it. I got both pop up windows and the are huge so there isn’t really an issue with access to the rear.
Drawers are in and just installed a 190 amp second battery and a dc dc charger to charge it.
Will post some photos once I’ve tidied up of the battery set up

Cheers.

It’s coming along nicely now. Canopy was a big step.

Next up after finishing the interior of the canopy is probably going to be intercooler and then a modest tune I would say.
