Axle length, wheel mounting face to face, should be between 1670 - 1680mm. At least that is what I am making mine.

No worries, I will have to have a bit of a play around and a measure of everything when I get mine ready to go.

Got the shock absorbers and water tank in today. Started the plumbing, will finish it off tomorrow after I have picked up a few more parts from Bunnings....

Had a local Cabinet Maker build a Box to fit under my Roller Shutter to house Aux Batteries/Compressor etc.

Pretty Happy with the result.

Been a while since I contributed/updated....

Just put the Torqit Performance Package on my Wildtrak. 3" Exhaust, Power Module (Chip) & Pedal Torq. On Sale in the 2015 TJM Xmas Cattle Dog. Paid $2,780 installed.
Very Happy. I come up a pretty steep hill to my house and it climbs the hill like a steam train now.
I have set the Pedal Torq on Sport 1, didn't really buy the Package for the Pedal Torq, but its included Free in the TJM Special.

I bought a Caravan recently, which is my motivation for the extra kW and nM...

Hi Werner, Thanks. Torqit claim from 147kW to 193kw and from 470nM to 661nM. Evidently they Dyno each model with the 3'' exhaust and power module when they set the programming up, and therefore in theory, mine should be same as the one they used to program the chip.

I certainly noticed a difference, but will be able to say more when I have taken the van on a trip after Xmas.

That hill you live on is STEEP. If thats the performance that you get I will do the same once the extended warranty has run out.
The caravan dust proof so far?

Only had the van a week ! Not doing a road trip until early next year. Too busy this month with Xmas and New Years. JB Caravans did a great job, but proof will be how it copes on road trips...

I have extended warranty on my Ranger as well. Lots of speculation on what Ford does if something happens and they can blame the chip. Torqit have been around since 1975 and I spoke to them directly. They told me if something does happen, which is unlikely, and Ford blame the chip, get onto Torqit directly and they will sort it out with Ford, and if it can be proven its caused by chip, they cover it. Hope I don't have to go down that road though.

I do like the throatier sound from the 3" exhaust.....

Update on the Torqit Performance Package...

My Ranger went into LMP mode, every day (several times a day) for 5 days straight. CHIP swapped for a new one, same thing happened. On last day my Ranger lost all power and engine cut out, twice. Was at low speed but scared the crap of me.

Unfortunately Torqit and TJM unable to provide a solution and no way I want that happening towing a caravan.

Power Module (chip) and Pedal Torq returned. Kept the 3'' Exhaust and will update on what I think that has added once I have driven with it for a period of time.

Torqit were extremely helpful, but at the end of the day, although they said they had not seen issues in PX Rangers/BT 50's before, they acknowledged some random vehicles just don't like them. Both the guys I dealt with at Torqit were professional and as helpful as they could be.

Wondering if because the 'Smart Charge' is deactivated in my Vehicle, their Power Module is 'tuned' to PX Rangers that don't have it deactivated....?

Also, unfortunately, because I bought the Torqit Performance Package through TJM who have it on sale with 'Free' Pedal Torq through their Xmas catalogue, had to return the Pedal Torq as well. No favours there...

Not a good result for aja88. I've run the Pedal Torq for about two and half years in my PX, and since week 2 in my PXII, without any problems...

Thanks. I am sure Pedal Torq would have been fine, it was the Chip my Ranger didn't like. Unfortunately they took the Pedal Torq back off me because it was only free as part of the package. Not willing to pay full price given how I was stuffed around.

Hey AJ how does the Aeroklas colour match the cool white on your wildtrak? Is it exact or slightly off? I have some issues with mine from the dealer being noticeable different

This is awesome. What a great attention to detail. I am hoping to build something similar. Can I ask who fabricated the trailer frame? I am in Brisbane and have a tub ready to go. Cheers, Paul.

Hey mate,

The original poster hasn’t been online and the last post of this thread is over two years old. Maybe try the search function at the top of the page as there has been a fair bit posted over time on the fridges that fit.

I think search function is your friend.

Cheers
