PX2 headlight bulbs

Post by Superdan »

Gday everyone. Just wondering if anyone has changed their bulbs for brighter ones. It was my first fault I noticed in my new px2 xls. Very dull highbeam and lowbeam. I replaced the globes with philips xtreme vision +100s. It made a huge difference as I do a lot of night driving. They weren't cheap to replace but we'll worth it as an improvement.

I understand the main issues with replacement is heat and legalities/annoyance of other drivers. How are the lights you mention on these accounts? I have installed very njce LED spotties but still would like to have decent standard lights.

i dont get flashed for being to bright. i guess they are pointing low enough. i have a t13 TJM bullbar on order with 220 series xray vision driving lights. It should put out the light also.

If the globe is same wattage then no issues with canbus.

Has anyone done the 90/100w bulb and ceramic plug upgrade? Was a great little upgrade on the ol' Hilux...

Hi i am new on here so mind me if i have some stupid questions but i i have a ranger mk2 xlt and i have replaced my front low beams to a led p6 globes 55w they are insane globes i had them on all my previous cars but it wont work on my ranger its all connected right the light works when you turn your key into ignition once works great but when i turn the car on the lights will stay on for about 5sec and they turn off i have put them on my fog lights and they work fine but my radio doesnt want to find a station like the radio goes to s*** when.i turn my fogs lights on as soon as i turn them off the radio is back on. Hope i explained it good because i really want white lights bright lights on low beam but i cant seem to get any that work except the stock ones or very low voltages ones

A couple of things could be happening here, firstly all LED lights emit frequency, some have better suppression than others of the noise in the circuit. The radio interference will most likely be from the LED's. The radio in the ranger is very susceptible to noise based on other peoples issues, that could be simply a matter of a poor quality antenna lead by Ford or it could be something in the electronics.

Secondly are your lights CANBUS compatible? are they drawing the same or lower power than the factory items? The CANBUS might be shutting down the circuit due to overdraw or some other issue.

Thanx for the reply mate .
I am not sure about CANBUS but they work fine as fog lights but not the headlights
So i thought i will get another pair off lights for headlights from narva they seem good might be a little more yellow but should be good and will leave these as fogs because they r bright as so thanx again for that

If anyone is still interested in this have a look at powerbulbs online. Cheap and shipped from the UK Osram night breakers in the car for last 3 and a bit years. Shift worker so they get used everyday.
