Sorry for the bad pic but I was driving. This guy was behind me on mountain hwy. Saw him in the rear view and thought nice rig. He pulled up next to me and I nearly crapped myself!!!

Got them off eBay Thin matte black fender flares, i I just wanted something a little different. Fit is pretty good , but their double sided tape is crap , buy better tape and match to Color of the ute ie black tape dark Ute , white or grey tape light colour ute , their tape was light grey so stands out a bit on dark colours. my mate actually has designed his own system which does this. Small screen in cab which can control any electrical device. hooks into Ranger CANBUS to read all of the standard vehicle parameters (ign,hi beam, window position, RPM, speed, basically everything). The prototype is on his work BT50 and it controls spotties, work lights, toolbox lights, beacon, compressor, auto leveling airbags etc). He has started selling a few now.

If anyone wants info or a particular "thing" controlled it would be interesting to hear as he is looking into a new version which I am having input into for a ranger I am buying

Hard to spot from behind until you realise the lettering on the tailgate doesnt say RANGER but POLICE. Has bull bar on front also so hard to sport in mirror.

yeah special incident response team in vicpol have taken up the rangers xlt. replacing the old patrols. the sog are also charging round in black xlts. would love to see the fitout when they come up at the auctions. be a great buy id reckon. cheers

Yeah.

The new divisional vans look strange, now they have to move away from the holden commodore utes, spotted a few fitted out holden colorados but have not yet seen one up my way stickered up in service

I have family in a vicpol department that has to upgrade the territorys and was asking for rangers but might be getting colorados.

The Colorado is a pretty good vehicle. I know taste is personal, but I much prefer the look of them to the Ranger (holds hands over head, awaiting barrage). I think the Ranger looks too much like a yank truck (bulky, ugly and tasteless). But I'm still buying one. Hopefully delivered in the next two weeks.

Okay, hit me with the "sacrilege" statements!

I’m interested to see your feedback on the lux mate. I know a fella that’s just ordered an ‘18 sr5 and he’s pretty keen to compare it to a ranger.
