iPad mini

Hi
I’m needing a bit of advice ,
to mount a iPad mini onto the front dash panel .
Iv tryed a CD player blank support and a sucker mount but neither worked well.
Any advice on a means to hold the iPad mini so it can be used as a map direction device.

I use one of these with an 8" [android] tablet resting in the useless coin tray on top of the dash. I thought $40 was pretty good and it's been attached for nearly 12 months now and hasn't budged or rattled. The holders can accommodate bigger units.

Can’t go past ram mounts. Not cheap but they are one of the best mounts on the market
